Due to the severe weather approaching on Saturday, March 15, Los Islenos Fiesta is canceled on Saturday only! The Fiesta will be on Sunday, March 16 starting at 11:00 am. - 9:00 pm.
The public is invited to drive through Los Isleños Museum Complex to view
the grounds and buildings decorated for the Christmas/Holiday Season on
Monday, December 30 th , 2024, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Vehicles will
enter from Highway 46 (Judge Perez Extension) and drive past the Isleño
Historic Village exiting on Bayou Road.
Visitors driving along
Bayou Road will also see the Historic St. Bernard Parish Courthouse
decorated in addition to many homes in St. Bernard Village and Toca
Village. The Parish of St. Bernard began along the shores of Bayou Terre-
aux-Boeufs when colonists from Spain’s Canary Islands were settled there
between 1779 and 1783.

Come and enjoy a evening of local schools performing and singing Christmas songs and walk the grounds and enjoy the beautiful Christmas decorations! We will also have a bonfire after the school’s performance’s! We will be selling Hot dogs and chili, jambalaya, nachos and cheese, drinks and water. And we will have free cookies, hot chocolate and apple cider.
The Fiesta Filipina shall be held on the grounds of the Los Isleños Museum Complex. Parking shall be available at the gravel parking lot between the Isleños Center and Bayou Road. Come and experience Filipino culture with traditional food, dances, crafts, exhibits & community services.

Please join Los Isleños Heritage and Cultural Society as we celebrate our annual
fiesta the weekend of March 2nd and 3rd , 2024 on the grounds of Los Isleños
Museum Complex.
The festival will begin each day at 11:00 a.m. and end on March 2nd at 10:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. on March 3rd. The folkloric group San Borondon from La Laguna will form the cultural centerpiece of Los Isleños Fiesta 2024, performing both days of the fiesta. Learn about the cultural heritage of the Canary Islanders or Isleños who settled in Louisiana between 1778 and 1783. Experience the cultural contributions of Louisiana Native Americans and Filipinos whose collective presence looms large in St. Bernard Parish. Experience the traditional folk arts and folk crafts of the Isleño community. Sample the cuisine of the Canary Islanders in Louisiana. Details for the 2024 Fiesta:
Santa on the Bayou will hold its Christmas Celebration on Saturday, December 9th at the Los Islenos Heritage and Cultural Complex.
The Christmas Celebration hours are 5:30pm – 8pm or until Santa has given away all his toys. Santa will have gifts to give away to children 12 years and younger.
• Due to Covid-19 restrictions, this will be a drive-through Christmas Celebration
• Vehicles MUST enter the celebration via Highway 46 (4-lane) and must exit on Highway 39 (Bayou Road)
• Santa will greet everyone, but ALL occupants are required to remain inside the vehicle
• Toys will be given to children ages 12 and under
• Strict limit of 5 or less children per vehicle
• Santa will place the gifts inside open trunks or tailgates
• Everyone must wear a mask at all times
The Los Islenos Complex has been beautifully decorated with lights and a narration of the Nativity Story.
